I have run across what seems like a great deal. The tires are cooper roadmaster rm275 they are new and greatly reduced according to what I found online. They are at a TA.
Now for my situation, I just bought a new-to-me truck and I need virgin rubber I know that there are probably better tires but money is way tight right now.
The price for these are all eight drives for 3099.00.
Question is how are these tires? Will they last at least a couple a thousand miles? I know it depends a lot on type of terrain and all, but that will vary a lot. I can tell you I will be running containers for awhile until I get used to the truck then heading to long haul.

I have run Coopers on my trailers. They seem to wear about as good as anything else. Is that price including installation and tax? If money is tight you may consider buying recaps. I would not buy them at a truck stop. There is a company in Tennessee that sells caps for $!00 if you have a recappable tire. If not, then the cost is $140. I have a friend who has been running caps for several years on his truck and not had any problems. Some of the truck stops sell recaps for $200+. If you run down toward Chattanooga, TN there is a tire distributor that has pretty good prices on tires. I believe they will ship them at no extra charge when you buy 8. If you are interested let me know and I will get you a phone number. You may check with Love's, too. They have gotten fairly competitive on their tires.

Rolling Resistance with maximum Fuel Mileage is alot more important to me than the cost of the tire due to it paying for itself way before the life of the tire is done.

I just started running the RM 275's on my drives. Maybe 10,000 miles, doing fine. That is a great price. Mine were about 440 bucks each, mounted, new stems, balanced. This is my second set of Roadmasters, made by Cooper. First set did not give good mileage, but were anothe series. Running the 180's on steering, OK.

I have had very good wear from Double Coin on my drives.

I have been considering caps for the antique truck
Gman who is that distributed and how far will they ship? -
I've had the RM 275's on my drives for 9 months now. They are wearing even and I've not had any probs so far. Tire psi has been holding very well. I may have to put in about 3 to 5 psi every three weeks.
