Speaking of checking regs have you been able to verify wether the personal conveyance exception is still in effect or is no longer acceptable? Please refer to the section under Questions from New drivers thread titled logging.
Myminpins claims this is no longer acceptable. I posted my research from the Federal Register but was unable to find the clause on the fmcsa website. -
Also keep in mind that if your trucks are over 10K and under 26K and you are traveling INTERSTATE, your driver may not need a CDL but he and truck does need to adhere to FMCSR- i.e. Med Card!

Yeah, several years ago I was just driving a simple box truck that was under 26,000GVW for an electrical company and needed a med card for that.
