    We are having some performance issues with our truck 2007 International 9400i with 06 Cummins ISX CM870. We are having a independant shop put it on Insight tomorrow and was wondering if anyone can let us know if it has pretty detailed diagonstics? Thanks.

    Dont know much about insight but Susquehanna international in PA is a great shop especially for Cummins. Dont know what your issues are but they are prone to egr issues. Try a delete kit.

    I used to wrench for swift and am very familiar with insite. There isn't much that program cannot tell them about the motor, especially if it is throwing any codes at all.

    thank you milktanker, we had a engine code for EGR valve with high counts and we are also getting a code on the dash for fuel timing. we were just worried about paying for the insite diagnosis and not really finding out anything.

    Insite is just the name of the Cummins diagnostic software. A shop simply having Insite and connecting to your engine to read codes and some basic diagnostic tests is no big deal. In fact, any shop that is serious about repairing any truck that doesn't have any of this stuff can't be much of a shop in the first place. There is more to it that just hooking up the computer. You need a tech that has access to the online diagnostics to help with troubleshooting, and a tech that knows how to troubleshoot!
