C.R. England is at best a crooked company.
At a profit margin of over 57 million after overhead this business is surely making a huge profit somewhere. Yes OFF YOU THE DRIVER.
    HERES HOW:
The loan to become a lisenced truck driver...CRE is paid upon your first signature. The Federal Govt , reimburses them the full tuition cost for you to be schooled wether you are accepted or not. Is this criminal? It should be. As they are getting paid for services unrendered. If you and I went into business and charged a customer for something then were paid for it and we did not provide services promised, the Govt. would back said customer for reimbursement for services through the law. It is illegal for anyone to get paid and not render services for said payment. Yet CRE gets paid for this very thing. Otherwise the price is set by the company and for all intents CRE provides you the very minimal it can for said price. The recruiting process.( A winner.. BEWARE of this tricky sticky uninformed mess! ) The website and the recruiter will entice former service to military members with free tuition.. DONT BUY IT.. they tell you that then when you get to the school and go through review you MUST HAVE SERVED IN A WARTIME EVENT TO QUALIFY. ( GREAT GIMMICK) ALSO... The recruiter will not disclose all the pertinent information you are required to make an educated decision on wether or not this school is reputable. Like check us out on "Truckers report.com " for example. Nor do they inform you of the parameters for getting the free tuition.. which requires you to work the 6 months after license reciept. Nor do they inform you that there is even a free class within a week of when you may be starting,( as was my case) "Enole" was my shifty recruiter. Pay very careful attention to these items and PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH CAREFULLY I BEG OF YOU IF YOU KNOW OF ANYONE LOOKING TO GET INTO TRUCKING, W A R N THEM OF THIS COMPANY AND ANY OTHER OF THE BIG COMPANYS WHICH COMMONLY PRACTICE DECIET IN ITS PRACTICES. IE: J.B.HUNT, SWIFT,CRST,(PRIME)(Rumored to be owned by CRE) Next.. A huge well hidden kickback which is insulated and called something it is not. KNOWN AS: the .14 cent per mile variable payment. This is essentially a brokers fee collected NOT by CRE, but by Horizon Truck Leasing. Who by the way is in fact in bed with CRE business wise. This fee is taken out no matter what. And is often more than the actual payment you pay Horizon for the lease on your truck. YET!!! for this brokers fee you CANNOT pick your loads from a load board.. How interesting. You take what you are given Yet another way of CRE trapping you into a corner. The object here is to control what you make to the poiont YOU are paying this company TO WORK FOR THEM! Let me ask you.. If CRE came right out and said we want you to pay us to work for us, WOULD YOU? Well thats what is truly going on. Ok not fair? you do make a LITTLE pocket money. I as a team IC driver have not seen any pay over 500$ since driving for CRE in FEB 2012. We never refuse a load , no accidents, and are always on time with every delivery. Between variable expenses, and fixed costs the money you make is equivalent to less than minimum wage. Heres a breakdown... average load miles per week.. 3200. Not nearly enough for a team driven truck. Excuse: July is notorious for poor freight content for any company. ( what about all months other than JULY?) Now....Insurance is 3x higher with CRE than anywhere else and for granted Id go elsewhere but the mountain of run around you have to go through to be approved for it is astronomical if you even get it surely CRE does its best to prevent this action for the term of your lease.. WHY? because the higher rate we pay as an IC gets them a kickback for their company Insurance. Nice move CRE!
Next, The fuel programs offered. Pay attention as the school will only lightly mention how this worksdone on purpose because if you dont catch it, you will be paying full price for the fuel to haul their freight. You must if on the fuel rebate program run your rig with as minimal fuel as possible. They will not tell you this at the school. As well as they will not tell you of the different costs you pay as an OTR IC for CRE.
Here it is in a nutshell folks.. I dont care who gets on here and praises CRE as a good company to work for, I'd have to see their picture up close as Im sure to find stretch marks around their mouth area. CRE Screws you anyway they can and until we the drivers who have been screwed by them can legally end their anticcs, there will be other sould devoured by them .. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU THEY ARE A BUSINESS.. THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT THEIR BOTTOM LINE.
fACT IS AS PEOPLE WE KNOW THAT TAKING CARE OF A WORKER WOULD BETTER SECURE A BETTER BOTTOM LINE.. ( THATS THE GOOD , MORAL, AND HONEST WAY.) CRE I S N O T ABOUT THIS WAY. For the CRE execs. crooked is better.
I have only a short time to go with them and will forever remember the worst mistake of my life.. WORKING FOR CRE. Do yourself a favor. dont drive for the bigger companys as they will drive you instead.. right into bankruptsy.

Maybe the worst mistake you've made is continuing to work for CRE. Why not just exit now?

the truck will hit our credit reports in a not so good way, and we are now afraid of what they will put on csa and dac reports (if these are still being used but seeing as how cre pulled mine.) as far as abandoned equipment.

Failed lease driver blaming CRE for all of it.

So you graduated driving school and jumped directly into a lease program after training?

Biggest mistake any newbie can make. As a side note, I always laugh when I see the back of a CRE trailer and it says "Lease, train, drive"...in that order. CRE is setting nearly every driver up for failure by enticing them to lease before they ever even haul a load of freight. That in itself should be criminal.

we both have prebious experience first of all, and i will tell you the same thing i told someone else, we do not stop rolling, we do not refuse loads, our fuel is good, our truck is being dictated by someone else, not by us, yes that's our bad for signing the lease, but i would also expect a team truck to get at least 6k miles per week and we do not. We have time and time again proven we can run this truck, and they are refusing to move appts for us even when i say we are going to be at a place 24 hrs early, so we do not see this as our fault, no. we take 2 days tops every month to a month and a half home time. we have lost things, in the process of loosing things we dont want to loose, ie my personal vehicle, but not because we are not working this truck to death, we are actually looking at going to a place where we can purchase our truck without any xt bs fees, and pick our own loads, so plz why don't you enlighten us as to what we are doing wrong because i do take offense to your remark anj.

voyager i agree with you, i went over the lease info with my trainer extensivly, so i'm really starting to wonder if i can put things down to the dm, which i know sounds bad because my dm is very nice and very understanding, but the miles are just not here for us, we are actually going over the lease line by line and section by section to find the discrepncies we missed when signing. and as stated above we both have previous experience, the only thing that prevented me from getting my own rig is my credit, it blows frankly. i went over numbers time and time and time again. my co-driver unfortunatly had no option but to go to this school, but nor did i for that matter as i was in a position where i couldn't afford to go to a private school to refresh. His Vet status became an issue, because even though he is a vet he is not a vet of foreign wars. Unfortunatly recruiters are payed to lie, (this is how i feel) my recuriter lied straight up about my home time but i knew this from teh get go due to my geographical location most things in my area are flatbed stuff. And once you come in for training with cre it's too late to go else where because other companies see you as being under contract with cre. i waited a week for a phase 1 trainer because they were giving me a hard time because i was specifically requesting a female due to bad experiences with previous male trainers for another company. this was my first hint at cre's true colours, yet stupid me still went and talked gio into this contract we both signed lease to take equal blame or credit. Gio had issues with the payroll, we were also told that if we were to turn the truck in before the lease is up that we would not get hit with a bad credit score thingy, but upon trying to do this we found out it WOULD IN FACT make a negative impact on our reports. At this point we are thinking about taking this hit so we can get out of our personal hole.

Your leasing from a carrier . That's what your doing wrong. You will not succeed. Period....

Run as a company team. Save your own $$$ and get a truck financed on your own.

your credit, dac, and csa were screwed the minute you thought about going to CRE. you have no way out with damage.

your best bet is to get it over with right now. so that time will pass and leave it all behind you. the longer you wait. the longer you'll have to wait for it all to disappear.

and if you would have done your research. you wouldn't be in your position in the first place. cuz the internet is full of information.

in other words. your story isin't nothing we all didn't know already.
