Sitting at the TA near stony Ridge, OH. I will have 3 1/2 hours tomorrow. I wonder what I get for a load. Reset? I get 12 hours back for Tuesday or reset would end around 8:30 PM Monday, so it doesn't really matter. Gonna be doing some sitting tomorrow!

Didn't you just sit for like 15 hours in Fargo? How are you out of hours?

Glad you got to see the family. That TA and Pilot sucks! And that drop yard has gotten crazy since werner came in. They parked stupid, last time I had a issue with that drop yard it was because they were double parking infront of our trailers. I was hot when I had to wait for that crap.
As for me, bout to start my day and get down to the port. I was walking to the building this morning and noticed a Conway having a large amount of problems getting out. Saw another driver out there so didn't think much of it. Mid walk all I hear is BANG. He slammed into the side of thee trailer on his right (guy was nosed in) so I turn around and walk over there so did 4 other drivers. They keep contradicting each other so I just stood back and watched. He ended up taking the guy on his left mirror off. Now more people came out.
The whole problem was these dumb movers non American guys nosed in but was extremely in conways spot. To the point I'm surprised they didn't hit him. Even their tractor was still cut at a angle. Not to be rude to the Conway driver but if he would of just asked for help and not try to pull out blind sided then there might not of been a issue. -

I may have sat on Thursday, but I still ran up the miles when I was moving... 3000 "actual" miles driven. Plus I had all that )7='8:/ on duty time when loading and unloading. That time kills most of a flat bedders driving time. Wish I could drop and hook like them door swingers.. -
If you were heading more south I took a 10 hr break at the FJ x305 on my way home yesterday. Place was pretty big as FJ goes. I helped a Crete driver yesterday at Anheseur Busch in the morning after my drop. He had a pin on his tandems that wouldn't retract. I had that problem a couple months back plus have had help from other drivers not with Roehl help me sometimes on the road. Plus I had plenty of time to spare wasnt in a hurry.
That drop yard is rediculous now and I agree too I told a friend once Werner rolled in theres no where to drop a trl. I took a empty out of Busch to over there since when I was 14/7 empty van trls where hard to come by. Maybe a 2-3 actual spots to drop it. Picked up my relay for Orlando and left out. Couldnt drop b4 10 pm so I got there at 11 pm and went home afterwards.Lantern Thanks this. -
This van crap is killing me. Ill be at this coke plant for a few hours. Planners sent me a load picking up in Georgia headed got Kansas. I asked if I could relay it to ellenwood so I can get back to flatbed but dispatch said their waiting on planners to okay it.
I'm definitely not OK with being forced on lower pay.
I talked to my dispatcher and he ain't happy they gave me a van load either. Most likely my next load will relay to ellenwood so I can get back to flats

I am unloaded. Just waiting for a load now. Hopefully it won't be to long of a wait. Least I get to watch them "secure" this 25000 pound water chillin to a open deck container. They have 2 3" straps and some wood holding it down so far. If that ship tilts I would imagine none of that would hold. But who am I to make that judgement?
Got my 70 back and ready to rock n roll.DrtyDiesel Thanks this. -
Well my friend you called it. Got a load picking up in Pilot Rock OR. They didn't get me a OR permit on Friday but when my FM assigned the load he neglected to remember as well. Luckily me being smart as a whip 5% of the time I reminded him.
Now I await at this pilot in OR for a morning load. Also. Finished a 1800 mile run to be backed by a 1900 mile run. Most unheard of thing ever! Grinning from ear to ear!DrtyDiesel Thanks this. -
I'm stuck with a van trailer for a few days. Planners didn't have any "available" van drivers near ellenwood for me to relay this load too. So I'm taking this load I got in Georgia all the way to Kansas. Good miles, not so good pay.
Oh well, I told my FM I don't like being forced to work for less money than the division I'm in, he was pretty upset weekend dispatch gave me a van load to begin with.
He did however send me a qualcomm message that I would deliver this load and they will have a flat or step deck waiting for me in the Kansas city yard, So I'm hopeful.
Anyway, I'm at the loves on i16 exit 49. Place is packed but I pulled in to get 60 gallons and a truck pulled out of a spot as soon as I was done fueling. Perfection at its greatest lol. I got lucky as hell.
