Just talked to a CFL Driver in Medford, OR. He told me he's had 800 miles in the last 4 days! Cheer up May drivers, it's not as bad for you as you thought
platinum Thanks this. -
I recently graduated from driving school and got my CDL withh all endorsements and a TWIC.
Then you are already better of than 90% of your competition, don't waste your time with company like this. This is for people who have no choices in their careers. Go local, you can get a really good fuel hauling gig, or local job. Working for May is about as fun as getting your turds pushed in, in prison... -
oh so many ways to reply to this, but feeding the troll will just make it keep coming back
so I believe you were an employee at may in the past? I guess you didnt have any other options then? and well, the prison statement sounds like personal experience but i wont go there either
wasn't very nice of me huh? so before you go grouping employees of a company saying they have no other choice, think first

recent grad ,yet 5 yrs a trucker .yea that name and a twic card will serve him well at the docks .my bad .i guess the first part he was quoting the recent grad

A friend of mine that works for WS has that beat- 250 in 4. (and I want to get into trucking-why??)

Most of you need to understand the trucking market. When and where freight is moving. It's not all the same everywhere, everytime.
-
Please elaborate Paloma. Believe me, if I'm going to get into this business, I want to understand.
Thanks. -
Well, regardless of what trucking company ya drive for.. most drivers think they are the only truck out there. Freight lanes change weekly. And depending where you are, there are either too many, or not enough trucks in that area to haul loads. Trucking firms are going to make sure there are trucks in the area where the loads are comming from, for the trucking company, it's better to have an extra truck or two sitting there when the shippers calls then to be 1 truck short and can't haul the load. If you are a shipper and call and they can't do it, you call someone else.. right? Then the trucking firm runs the risk of loosing a contract, it's about business.
Not all loads make money for a trucking firm, but the total loads do. As an Owner/Op, there are loads I take that I break even on .. why? Cause it sets me up in an area where I will get good loads.Rogerthat Thanks this. -
All I gathered from yer post is that you did not enjoy anal sex when you were in Prison. May trucking is a great ENTRY level company. Some ENJOY the road, as I do. I don't want a local job. I have been with May 4 years .. I am an Owner/Op (Stared out Company driver) .. I make a #### good living!!Joker85 Thanks this.
