I got hired by Reynolds Nationwide yesterday for tanker after passing their driving test and the urine test. Drug test came back clean today (of course.) So I start at 0900 tomorrow. All their rookie tanker drivers start on the HEB milk run, primarily West Texas/Eastern New Mexico into HEB's dairy plant in San Antonio. Looks like nice runs of about 1,100 miles round trip out and back. This should be sweet - OTR and still home 3-4 times a week. I[m told that you can move over to the oilfield tankers after about 6 months on the milk run.
For those still job hunting, try the JobsInTrucks.com site. I filled out the profile on Sunday and have already had about 10 responses (although Reynolds was my first choice, I always try to have a Plan B just in case.)
