U really do not want to go to work for PRIME...

Please don't blow smoke up my skirt. I have been a business manager most of my life and very successful. I know about all of the expenses. I am glad to email anyone a copy of a contract from the PrePass company. They only charge 14.99 per month for unlimited passes.

Yes it takes time to weed out the bad dispatchers. However when upper management is protecting them an intercepting emails to Rob Lowe about the dispatchers how many drivers loose their shirts before they are gotten rid of. And the reason Prime looses so many drivers is because they don't make money.

I am glad that you are one of the few that really do. But the numbers of those that don't far out way those that do in Prime. And as far as the lease goes. The company we currently are working for also has a lease company. Their lease for one month is what Prime charges for one week. And it is also on a three year lease.

I turned over every bill of lading and every pay stub for the time we were with Prime to our accountant. And by the way she is an ex IRS accountant. She could not believe what we made. If it were not for our savings prior to Prime we would have been so deep into debt. We only had storage, cell phone and a car payment. Those were our only expenses. We mostly ate out of the truck.

And we did turn down loads that did not even cover our expenses. And we paid heavy for them. As a matter of fact it took us 5 weeks to get out of the hole with Prime after our one and only home visit after working for them for 6 months. And the dispatchers commission is not based on the success of the driver. Just the success of the load getting delivered on time.

My suggestion to anyone wanting to know the truth about a company go out to a truck stop and ask drivers from different companies. Ask questions like benefits, home time, net pay at the end of the year not gross. Compare the different companies. See how many pros and cons you get from each company. That is where you will get the truth. Not from someone trying to recruit you for a bonus.
And as far as Prime working for many. I did not deny that there are some successes but the failures far out way the successes. And yes Prime does have a bad reputation out in the industry with drivers. Just ask around. Don't just ask Prime drivers you will see. Don't believe me go out and ask for yourselves.

Average gross income per mile?

5 weeks to get out of the hole after some home time? That doesn't even sound right.

The recently wed wife of a long time Big truck truck driver logged on to complain about the Big truck truckin' company that her new hubby was drivin' for. It seemed to her that he was bein' waayyy under paid and she wondered why he didn't put up a fuss with the payroll department, or jump ship to find a company that paid more, --- as she was havin' a difficult time tryin' to make ends meet. As it was, she said she was only 'bout one step away from foreclosure and repossession of her vehicle. At her wits end, she was desperate for some information that could shed some light on her situation.

As luck would have it, the wife of a driver who currently drove for the same company volunteered to help get to the bottom of it all, stating that the company in question didn't have a reputation of underpaying their drivers, --- emphasizing that said company had an open-door policy and any problems were dealt with and resolved in a timely manner.

Well, ....... to make a short story a tad longer, ............... the wife of the current driver investigated the situation and learned a few things about the new hubby that even his new bride was unaware of. It seems the new hubby was a hubby times two, as he was married to another woman in another state where he spent most of his time, and money, on that wife and their kids. What the second wife received was whatever was left, -- meaning there was too much month left at the end of the money.

I don't know where it went form there, --- wife #2 was never heard from again after that, --- but I have a vivid imagination. And I imagine the honeymoon was over.

I'm thinkin' his head wound up in a noose and now he just hangs around tryin' to make a dollar outta the 95 cents that goes out in child support and alimony, --- and complainin' 'bout havin' to survive on five cents out of a dollar while livin' in a Big truck.

I'm sure there's a moral to this story, but right now I feel like takin' a nap, ---
to see if I can dream up SOMEthing that's worth posting. Or, say somethin' in my sleep that'll
