Yes, I might be young, but I was simply stating a fact, I was not whining. People asked why I was leaving and I stated that I was no going to resign a lease if they would not give me my logs. I am young yes, and I have my whole life ahead of me, though you might not have many years left, I do and if I get audited and I get in trouble do to that and then I will will have to live with that. I only wish that people (you for one) would understand that stating a fact is not complaining, for in that if everytime you state that you are thirsty then you are complaining. I told every managment that asked why i was leaving and I told them straight out, and also told them that The only way I would stay is either give me my logs, or let me go company. I like their company side, just not the lease. I do not want anyone to get the wrong impression, if you go as a compay driver they are good, just don't lease. No lease program from a large company is good. You may be able to make money, but not as much as if you were to finance a tryck on your own. I went to TransAm for a reason, then went lease for another. Company to get experiance, and lease to learn how to run my own truck for the future. I learned that and now I shall move on to a better paying truck (i.e. my own truck). 804 credit helps with getting my own truck and that is what I do not want to harm (my credit). Thank you very much transam pete. Like I said all I stated in the lounge was facts, not hypped up emotional B.S. Take care and safe driving.

good luck finding a company that will turn over all your elogs to you
young is what I was 30 years ago
I go into any situation today with my eyes wide open
you want your elog info great big deal who cares
but that really isnt a Trans Am specific problem now is it
after 30+ years of being self employed with just one accountant he would just laugh at that problem
truth is you were ready to move on and that was just an excuse
that drivers lounge is like waiting for the flu to strike you -
Lone wolf trucker is right tho, about getting a copy of his logs. Those will be required by the IRS, if your audited, as proof that you were out at that time. TA should have some kind of provision, allowing you to get a copy. Probably won't be a "hard" copy, but an "E" copy will work. Probably ought to get copies before quitting tho. lol
And Pete, no, it isn't a TA specific problem, but if they don't have provisions for you getting a copy...... makes one wonder if their in violation of something. Let me be honest here, I did NOT like Trnsam BUT, they treated me fair and when I quit them..... properly.... they bent over backwards to make sure I got what was owed to me. Just sayinlosttrucker Thanks this. -
Ok first of all i am new to driving. Before i came to trans am i was lied to from the beginning. the recruiter tells you that you will be home in 3 weeks with your own truck when you come for orientation.i was told by ty lloyd at rockwall terminal that if we dont get miles that he can help us. he is a lying son of a ##### and when i see him again i am going to tell him to his face. i have not been in the negative yet so that is a plus. i had 2 bad weeks of only about $200. At first i was only getting 2200miles so i threatened to give the truck back so i started getting more miles. i am getting about 2700 and bringing home 800 wk. A week ago i was trying to get in touch with dispatch about my preplan. the miles were off by 300 miles bc my route was taking me over the Rockies. so I told them I wanted a swap and they said they would not give it to me. I stood up for myself and I told them I was not moving the truck unless I was paid to go around the Rockies for the miles they couldnt do that so i told told them i was parking the truck and i will turn my 2wk notice in and sit there for 2wks with the load at the truck stop. i tried to get in touch with dispatch the next morning for 2hrs with no responce so i turned the reefer off and less than 5 mins i had a phone call.if u dont put your foot down they will screw u and make u like it. i am the type of person that speaks my mind. bc of me doing what i did i got my preplan changed and got something different. i have never been to the olathe yard and met any of the big wigs yet but i will not take any #### off of them.

As far as threatening or actually turning off a reefer while under a load; I can just about promise you next time they will toss you and your belongings right over that fence at the Olathe yard!! Way to many newbies and L/O wanna get mouthy and think they are doing or saying something that these companies havent dealt with and ignored before..... -
STAY AWAY FROM TRANSAM TRUCKING.
I was with them for 4 months and made nothing i finally quit and they are calling me everyday to came back.
They give you the miles yes but they always find ways to make your pay lower no matter what you do.
I would love to be invcluded in the class action lawsuit -
Plenty of these big companies that promote these pathetic lease programs are a bunch of cold hearted people. Why?Because a driver comes in there with a dream of owning his own truck and making a good living for there families instead it turns into a nightmare. They suck the motivation and drive right out of the driver and makes him feel like a total failure. Most of these leases are scams run by creeps, do the math drivers don't fall for the lying recruiter he doesn't give a #### about you.

A far cry from $.84. I freeze rather than idle, choose to drive 58 mph, and do 3000 miles a week. It works for me. But stay away from this company or any other company giving anything under $1.50 average all miles
-
The way they get around it is that you are leasing the truck from "Trans-Am Leasing" which is a separate entity from "Trans-Am Trucking".
The whole lease-purchase game is very simple to decipher without really even needing to know anything about the details: Loads pay what they pay. Only one party, either you or the company, can make more money at one time. If one makes more, one makes less. That's pretty basic logic. Which ever the company pushes you toward, that's the one in which they make more money, so by default you make less. Why else would they push the lease? -
Sorry to here that brother. I have been with TA for 5 years and own two of their trucks and now leasing another. You might want to look in the mirror and see whats going on.
