That's what the 5-cpm differential is about - less miles. Load boards show refrigerated load tonnage has been down the last month or so, but the trend is now upwards. Guys, you've got to be putting some away for these slack periods. It's cyclical, and happens every year about the same time.

    da1 Thanks this.

Trucking isn't the only thing that is cyclical. Car fixing, dog grooming are just two service industries that are also on mostly predictable cycles.

That's about right. NE regional will be at the lower end of the scale. Like I mentioned... refridgerated freight is in the usual post-4th of July slump. It'll pick up as the autumn harvest, and winter holiday freight kick-in.

    Well said U2,

I certainly did post all them statements and will be the first to say I spoke to soon and opened my mouth and inserted foot and if any of you out there reading this started driving for Prime because of them posts and are now regretting it. I am truly sorry and appoligize to you and your family.

But that was before Pittston went into a hiring frenzy. If you notice none of them runs said anything about Lewiston, Walmart and spending three or four days up there running 350 miles shutteling Walmart crap. The more and more drivers they hire was less and less miles for drivers already in the region. My miles dropped dramatically and so did my pay. The Home time as often, stopped during the week when the runs through this area stopped as well. When I started on my FM's board she only had 40+ trucks to manage. She now has 70+ and doesn't have the Freight to give them.
Unfortunately my friend has her as his FM already and he isn't doing well at all.
And again I will say I don't know what the fleet as a whole is doing but the ones I talk to that are running the North East are starving for miles.
That was and is the only reason I left Prime.
