10 of my straps were rolled up in a muddy steel yard. I'm talking liquid mud that soaked into the straps. It was mud like peanut butter

Like I posted before, go to Tractor Supply and buy a couple pairs of their lightest weight coveralls. Put a pair on to do your load, then take them off and hang them to dry, wash off and put your regular clothes back on. You won't go through so many changes of clothes and hanging them to dry will keep them from getting really foul smelling in a damp laundry bag.

    CAXPT Thanks this.

I'm not very fond of coveralls but an old pair of jeans and some old t-shirts will do the job just as well.

Yeah, my problem is I sweat, a lot. One tarping session I go through 5 bottles of water. It doesn't matter what I'd wear they would be soaked. Coveralls would be worse. I work in shorts and a tee shirt where I can.

The coveralls I'm talking about are very light weight and short sleeved. Light enough that any breeze blows right through them.

I won't argue with you that coveralls work great. I just change in one of my old jeans and T-shirts and when I'm done change back in my nice clean pair of Wrangler jeans...

Seems you need wranglers to be able to call yourself a real trucker. Wranglers and cowboy boots...:biggrin_25520:

Hell, if it's just me I'll do everything with just a pair of shorts and flippers.
