having fuel system problems with 05 freightliner

    Having fuel system problems with 05 freightliner columbia detroit 6. The fuel filter bowl empties out. The truck doesnt start or run lile it should. The computer doesnt give a good reading to pinpoint problem. Any suggestions.

    slow fuel is caused by clog in linevacuum line leak, bad pump! Go to Freightliner.com and check recalllist first if, it is a recall the fix it free. Then check theironline troubleshooting guide. Many things can be fixed withoutinvolving a mechanic! THGHost

    If you have changed the filter and not cleaned around the mating surfaces real good it could be sucking air around those surfaces. check to see if there are bubbles in the bowl. always use new O-rings

    Good to know..
    But WHAT IF:
    1st: My truck is 2006 and recall date at 2007 but today is 2012???
    2nd: 2006 unit belong to me, but i am a 3th owner?
    3th: my truck rite now out of warranty range? ofcourse 6 years old and 1 million mile
