All I know about the 129 test is one of the requirements is each cab pillar must be able to withstand a static load of 10,000kgs while the Swedish standard is 15,000kgs, there's a big difference in the aftermath of a crash between the likes of a DAF and the two swedish brands

That one at MATS was Aus/NZ spec, sat VERY. I couldnt believe how high it was, compared to my FLB.

The availability of the new Argosy here does depend on which dealer you talk to . Obviously, Brink Farms has 1, so it is possible.

ya, the aftermath of a cab without any testing is just sad. No excuse for not having crashworthy requirements on this side of the pond.
I think the US Volvo cab, cascadia, coronado are tested.

When you see how easy those big sleepers open like a tin can during an accident...................well,lets just say you need that engine in front off you for protection.

really not only Volvo, Cascadia and Coronado are EU crash tested. newer Pete and KW T660, S/T, Columbia, smaller Business class are tested. But old 9800 and 9600, FLA are really dangerouse.

I found nothing on peterbilt or kenworth and western star doing cab crash testing. Navistar met csa tests but not euro.

yeah, aluminium cabs are not so fire resistant as European steel cabs, but really EU cab after the similar fire damage cant be reused too.
