Great job on the tarping. Look at some you pass on the road, and you'll wonder why they even bothered.

Ugh I could never do securement in open toes. My toes are nasty enough (thank you military) without having a 10lb binder slip out of my hand and smash them worse. Cowboy boots? Not this trucker. Either camo cargo shorts or pants, nice loose baggy legs for good airflow and big pockets for all the crap I carry. Camo because it hides the dirt and funk, mostly. A black pocket tee shirt, and black steel toe combat boots with oil resistant non slip soles. This also helps me maintain the scary MF look when I'm parked in a less than desirable area.

License to use Glock 19, never leaves my side unless it's a scalehouse. And it's always got a bullet ready to go.

The straps should be between the rub rail and deck. Putting the extra between the strap and the deck keeps the friction from possibly damaging the strap while under tension under load. I do it this way to prevent damage and to only have to wind up the least amount on the winch.

    CAXPT and DrtyDiesel Thank this.

I throw the hook, and aslong as we swap trailers and have to leave the straps on the trailer I will continue to do so. I don't have flathooks like you guys have, they are a different shaped and only fit on our manacs pipe spools.

If any of you wear flip flops please go back to slamming doors...
