kind of morbid way to start your day giggles looking up wrecks

i always do.....i am a VERY cautious driver...sometimes CB picks on me for it...but almost 22 yrs without an accident...and this site (reading about accidents) has caused me to be even more careful....there are SEVERAL wrecks on here in the past...that we JUST missed being involved in (within minutes) and in all cases , we made an unsched. stop....thats the only reason we werent....for me..it keeps me on my toes even more....
TRKRSHONEY, formertaxidriver, flood and 1 other person Thank this. -
I would agree with Giggles.... it pays to know where accidents have happened (especially catastrophic ones) as enforcement is often stepped up afterwards as a kneejerk reaction to some boneheads smooth move.
Giggles the Original and Everett Thank this. -
It pays to stay in check with reality. Too many run around thinking nothing will happen to them.
Crossville is about 30 miles from me. I missed this story. The 15 year old will have to deal with this the rest of his life. My condolences to the Davis family.Giggles the Original Thanks this. -
I absolutely hate the stretch of I-40 from Crossville to Midtown/Kingston, east-bound. Used to live in the area, so I heard all about the accidents/deaths. Hubby just has to deal with me going slow down the mountain with my 4-ways on. I started letting him know everytime there was an accident there, and now he realizes the problem, mainly, 'super truckers' that under-estimate the road.

Sometimes I will be starting my day...and for some reason I will wait 5 minutes before I take off..and numerous times an accident..sometimes fatal occurs ..it pays to follow you're instincts without thinking twice...
TRKRSHONEY and Giggles the Original Thank this.
