Looking for a possible company to start for and was wondering if I could get some opinions on one or both of these companies. I will need to get my CDL and retire from the Marine Corps first but trying to research as much as possible and these are 2 companies I have not seen too much on here in the forums. Thanks for any and all help:biggrin_25514:

Sir, Please go to Community college and get your CDL training. Take it from a PAM driver and C-1 graduate. Don't use PAM or The other company. My friend Diandre (Dre) drives for the other company and they dicked him over and left him high and dry a few times. He made some small mistakes, but they treated them like murders. I have been with PAM for nine months now and would reccomend you get six months with a company like Maverick or Swift (at least they pay six more cents a mile than PAM or US express or USA Truck, ect) and when that six is over you can decide. to move on to a better company. Remember, once you are out on the road with your first company. TALK with everyone. I thought Stevens Transport had nice trucks and sharp looking drivers so I started talking to them. They HATE the company and most are leaving after their contract is done. Like PAM drivers who are leaving in droves six months after they drive for them. PAM's retention rate is HORRIBLE (32-38% according to insiders I know) and they stick you with a six thousand dollar school bill and ruin credit, ect. If you can live like a carny on low pay, then get your team COMMITTMENT DONE which is a crap shoot on if you get a decent partner or a slob or a freak, you can make it through PAM or USA, but find your best opportunity at a six month place first. I have learned in eight months everything I can learn from a trainer. The rest is the road teaching you. Do yourself a favor and go to JuCo and get your CDL and then burn six months in the winter with a good company, then move on. Best of luck to you.
