the way they will know is when you do a trailer swap. the next guy will call saftey and report damage. Its not intended to "rat" the last guy out, but to save your own butt from having to pay for "existing damage" that you didnt cause

they wouldnt. but dont presume he would cop to it if he did. now, if you drop a trailer, and within 24 or so hrs he calls it in, then it falls back on you. if he doesnt call it in, and say I got it next (after him) and i call. It would fall on him. The biggest thing with TMC is just man up if ya make a mistake. Unless its really bad, they wont "burn" ya
What i do is park next to the new trailer, and film it with my phone. Keeping in mind to clearly show it next to the current trailer im ready to drop. this way, if someone after me says i left it damaged I have documented proof that it was fine at time of drop (no yard dog can say a word then).

Man up for rubbing a tire? Givee a break, I was with tmc for a long time and seen it too much. Its not a big deal. This and broken rub rails and scuffed rims and stupid roll overs are the product of being a training company. I know rookies have to start somewhere so no offence to them but thats what happens. He never said he damaged anything but if he did then yes call it in.

yes but that was not my point, looking for work and this seems to be a good one, trying to determine that and asking to seek reports

Correct, I have extensive field operations but just got my CDL - so it looks like this is a good one for me to try for. Thank you.

Great idea but in practice my experience has been too many places that do not do it like what it sounds TMC does, will be sitting here filling online applications today and from the posts I see here this morning TMC will be on the list. Thank you everyone, this is what I expected and now it is evident that they have it together.

you missed my intent. Im saying if you damage something. man up to that. i didnt mean simply rubbing a tire (unless you do damage)
