If I get stopped, first thing he'll see is my personal defense license. Costed a lot of money to get it in all states, but it will be worth if I'm ina bad area and some thugs pick me as a target.

Gotta love bs stories.the gambler Thanks this.

I know for a fact IL provides no such thing. There is no option for concealed carry at all there. Several states you have to prove you have a need for personal defense to get a carry license. PA allows it's residents to carry openly with a few exceptions in areas.

Well I'm into my 6th week already, how time flies. And I'm getting faster. I finally got a system I like for folding my tarps and I can get em folded pretty quick by my self, blazing fast with a helper. Since my tarps are folded the same way every time now my tarping has gotten much faster as well. Today I secured 5 suicide coils and had them tarped in 45 mins and that includes 2 cigarette/water breaks.
I think I want to pick up 1 or 2 smaller tarps. Recently I had a load that was all no tarp except for a bundle of product about 4'x4' which I had to cover with a 27' tarp. I did it but felt silly folding up a tarp that much to cover such a small area. And I really don't need those big tarps to cover a single 40k coil either. I'll have to figure up a good smaller size tarp to order.
I am also pretty quick with my straps. I carry 12 and keep em rolled in my tarp box. I can roll a strap in less than a minute. I can have all 12 straps rolled, banded, and stored in about 15 mins (though afterwards my forearms are tight and pulsing like popeye's).
It's all coming along and I am really enjoying it.CAXPT, the gambler and SHC Thank this. -
Do you "fold" or "roll" up your tarps???
I roll mine, and it's easy to cover smaller stuff. Just roll out what ya need and leave the rest rolled up and secure with a strap. Granted a smaller tarp comes in handy tho, and I even have 2 cheap Lowes tarps for single skids and stuff like that.DrtyDiesel Thanks this. -
I'd get some the small tarps SHC has, but...
"If the tarp doesn't say Boyd Bros, don't use it." -
Make two investments.... A strap roller..hooks on the rail, rolls, then you remove the center, and a coil bag
CAXPT Thanks this. -
Having a small tarp is really handy to have. I don't use mine very often but when I do its a big time and hassle saver.

How versatile are coil bags? I rarely get skidded coils. Usually they go on racks.
Maybe I'm a masochist but I like the burn in my arms hand rolling my straps. And my girl says I was getting moobies and now they are gone lol. I'll keep everything like a workout. She goes to the gym 3 times a week, I tell her I go to the gym for an hour twice a day 5 days a week lol. I'm feeling better too since I'm getting more excercise. Before I would sweat mt nuts off and be too exhausted to drive, or even get a shower, and just collapse in the bunk after finding a place to park. Now I can throw my tarps then drive 8 hours.
Life is good.DrtyDiesel and CAXPT Thank this.
