Depends on the area and what you want to haul. But email me and I may have some suggestions.

believe me ive thought about it jb hunt has been calling me since i first filed my UCR I really dont see it as much of a benefit how does making the exact same pay as leasing to a company sound i mean using your own authority means way more money and yearly fees yet they still want to give you that crappy pay and keep 30% right off the top i could get that very same deal leasing on with a company wheres the incentive.

You have to look at JBH as a tool. When freight is slow and you can't get those rates you run for them. Others use it as a way to season their authority (don't see the value).

But in your case you jumped the gun on your shinny new authority, have all the expenses that go along with it and no way of generating revenue. So they are a source or tool for you to use while looking for a trailer.

So you ask why? Because without a trailer this is your only option.
