    ***1 MONTH REVIEW***

    SPECTACULAR, GREAT, STUPENDOUS, FANTASTIC.....so far
Im loving it, I was only asked to leave the region 1 time this month (took a load from AL to IL) but very next load was back to tha south. Its worked its way out to where I pass thru the house (ATL) several times a week and have the option of going home or not.
Truck had an exhaust leak, kept me sidelined for 2 days but got breakdown pay.
All the hype about this company is true, they are great. But Im not naive, I understand its only been a month but so far so very very good

Just becareful of taking T-called loads or shag loads. They are the only ones that cause me any grief. Usualy they've been sitting around a drop yard for a long time and are already late and the dispatchers forget to tell you the customer wasn't updated to this and your stuck explaing to the customer why your late. Also the dispathers don't comunicate with each other and the dispatcher that assigned this load to the other driver doesn't know the load was T-called and will blame you for the load being late. Also the $35.00 shag pay isn't worth the headaches and greif when someone else ran the miles out of that load. These are the only loads that has caused me to get in any trouble with service failures. I don't mind helping out. But, I don't need someone jumping all over me if there's a problem with this load. There nothing but trouble, find a polite way to turn them down you'll be alot happier. The only other little problem I've had at Crete is that nobody will back you up if you make a decision on your own. They will all sell you down the river.CYA,document everything, people have bad memorys here. Always comunicate any problems by Qualcom not celphone. Don't take any chances with your logs, saftey will keep adding on points.Don't run over one minute or get creative at all. Other than that they are the best company I know of to drive for.

I agree with camo on this, I have only had one problem and that was with a shag, I told them I did not have the hours and the dispatcher said basically "to bad you are the only one that can do this....Thanks" I called my terminal manager and She helped me get it done by calling the shipper and getting the load done in a timely manner, but I was pushing my logs to the point of going over....just barely made it....do not let the dispatchers push you around, if you let em they will try everytime. You can be nice about it but do not let em.
    Best of luck

What is shag? Also does crete offer cash advance each week? And who pays the fuel for the rental car on the way to orientation? What is the average length of haul for Western regional and also for all 48 States? Thanks for any reply..DRIVE SAFE

Oh, are you forced to run NEW YORK? Or do they give you 3 loads all the time, and give you different regions to choose from? Thanks again.

Yes Crete offers cash advance every week but keep in mind that it is for use of things you may need on the road, tolls, lumpers and weigh tickets all of which is re-imbersed on your next check.
A shag is when you either pick up from a shipper and take it to a terminal and t call it or you pick it up from a terminal or another driver that may not for one reason or another, i.e. run out of hours someplace, and then you deliver it to its final destination, a lot of times these loads are already behind schedule.
About who pays for the rental to orientation, I cannot answer that, I went from training to orientation so my trainer dropped me off in Lincoln.
Drive safe and good luck. However I heard that Crete reserves the car and you have to pick it up and return it where Crete says, mind you that is only what I had heard when I was in orientation from another driver.

Crete pays for all fuel expenses on the rental car. I drive on the national board as an O/O and avg. 3000+/- mpw.
