Can I run my Slim Ps3 from a cig lighter inverter?

Not sure what my xbox 360 pulls, but I can run both my xbox and 26" LED TV off a single 300 watt inverter plugged into a 12v port in the TV hole. The TV draws 34w max, so the xbox can't be pulling much more then about 100w. It is one of the newer slim models as well.

I have found that my Cascadia only supplies about 140w when running on battery power, but with Tue engine running its closer to 250w per 12v port.

 

there are 400 wats inverters all over the country that plug into the socket.

anything over that requires direct wiring to the batteries. and they come with the wiring also.

 

OP what about the wattage your TV will use as well you have to factor that in. The best way to test your theory is to see what happens and if it doesn't work take the inverter back and leave PS3 at home. I used to be a die hard gamer of 30 years I cannot believe I finally dropped that hobby. I think I got too good for the noobed down version of games out today. I can go online and be the #1 player at any game even if I never played it. The ease of pwning everyone got boring

on the back of your devices are labels. READ what the wattage requiremens are. and that will tell you.

if you want the ps3 AND a tv. what's the total wattage.

the things have a peak wattage of about 750. continuous 400 watts.

so you can run up to a total 400 watts. off your socket lighter.

i don't have time to watch tv. so i can't tell you. on the off chance that i do have time. i plug in my usb tv tuner and watch tv on the laptop. only thing i have plugged in are two laptops and a printer. and occasionally my 120 v fan.

they mostly cmoe with 2 sockets. you can buy power strips cheap though for more sockets.

 

haha why not get a laptop then using the same harddrive? It has the screen and uses low wattage.. even the cigarette socket would power it.
