Delivered this morning in baton rouge. Boudin sausage and mountain dew for breakfast. Was supposed to be a 3 stopper. Go lucky by trying to find directions to 2nd stop. None found and number didn't work. Found the place on my phone GPS satellite. Called that number spoke with the Guy that ordered it. First stop was a furniture place. It was a HON load. 2nd stop said they order and 1st stop puts it together and delivers it. Looked like downtown and no loading docks and one way streets. So unloaded 1st and 2nd stop at the 1st stop. The final was 4 doors down from red jacket gunsmithing on TV. Check in off the street, back in off the street and 10 pieces I'm off. Made it to a pilot which was a cluster f$%&. Parked and next was interesting.

Went to gp in Zachery la to drop off empty. After changing into pants and sweeping the trl out 3 times I bobtailed out. Headed to brookhaven Ms Walmart DC for empty only to return to the same gp to get a load for j-ville tomorrow. Kept me going but none the less retarded.

<sigh> nope, still bunking on the parents' couch, nothing yesterday hoping i hear today before i call later in the afternoon.

and yes, i'm starting to get a bit tired of waiting

    no drive-y = no mon-ey :(

the bonus money is saving the day, but it'd be a lot better if i was also getting the 90/day. alas, it could always be worse.

It will happen. what was your mode of transportation to & from WI? I'm wondering if they are going to send me back to RI to wait for a trainer when I finish. Seems like a waste but if no trainers available, no choice. I think part of it was the holiday weekend timing. I will send you a pm.

Some days you have to be able to laugh to make it through this job.

The truck is having the same issues it had in Vegas and Utah, so I guess we'll see what this leads to..He just made it to his delivery (after the truck shut off twice) and is due home tomorrow, so...:dontknow:

i went cheap and took the bus to WI....not recommended! was a 33 hour adventure lmao.

they rented us a car (suburban!) to get us home, not great on gas but verrrry comfortable ride :)

At the Kwik Trip in Tomah, WI. I left Thunder Bay around midnight. They sent me 343 miles mt to Eau Claire to pick up a pre loaded trailer. I am relaying it to the East St. Louis yard. I will be leaving around midnight to get it in there by 0800. I don't mind running on recap hours but hate it when I can't start earlier because I don't have hours. Once again the routing they sent had me going ON-11 but this time night dispatch helped me out and changed it so I could run 61. I guess some of them actually like helping out Drivers I have worked with this FM before when they were watching my FM's board. He actually listens to the Driver and takes in all the info and everybody comes to an agreement. Not just the standard "You need to talk to your FM about it in the morning" response.
