I use Fox Fi app to tether my phone with old unlimited plan. It is a real shame at the same time so many new products can use wifi and mobile internet they decide to gouge for data. When I am pressed , like no 3g available I use my loyalty points and use Truck Stop WiFi if I can park close enough or have a good signal. I use a wi fi radar thing to find good spots etc. Many states have free WiFi in their rest areas where I go also.

my phone has a useage meter. it's an adroid. so you might look in the market place for a uesage or data meter. can't remember what it goes under but it's defenitly there.

or should i say it was there at one time when i loaded a different software for my phone that didn't come with the meter.

there are also other apps that can be used, KEYWORD data usage

I have Verizon with a hotspot on my phone, 12 gigs since my permits are emailed as well as load information and I print map routes off the internet on every trip. Have slacker radio and use it often.

    226 dollars a month

Same here with me- Verizon with 12g on my droid and 5 on my Blackberry. Go to a lot places where it's just more reliable then whatever wifi is being offered. Sure wish Verizon would go back to unlimited.

There is a pop up when you log on using the provided software. It shows current usage. I also downloaded a data usage monitor from cnet to get real time usage.

Yes I stream Hulu and Netflix.

Sent from somewhere out there on the road.
