I did not think that would happen though, I honestly wasn't expecting it. I heard such good stories about Werner's caring about its recruits and about their ways of enticing new employees.
They also said that I should start out as an "Occupational therepist." -
Kept me out of NASA as well...... fortunately they had an opening at the TSA

it cost them money to get you there and they need drivers. did they pay your way home? that would tell me a lot.
becouse if they did not you did something bad and its now on your DAC. (good luck finding a job)
but if they paid your way home your ok just find some place ells and never tell anyone you went there. -
No disrespect intended here, but Asperger in adults is a form of Autism. I am slightly surprised that DOT will allow you to have a medical with this diagnosis. I do understand that you are cognitively a high functional person but you do know that your symptoms will increase with multiple added stress inputs, such as you will encounter daily. Fatigue from long hours and lots of traffic issues are the norm in this job. Long stretches away from home with no support will also be part of this equation. Not trying to be judgmental or condescending.
AfterShock, formertaxidriver and danmissouri Thank this. -
How many people are not going to read his reply on what it was before saying there must be more to this or he did something bad? He said he has Asperger Syndrome.
Best thing you can do is keep on trying and tell the recruiters over the phone about it before you get there. I'm sure someone will hire you. It might help if you say at least the general area or state you live in and others might know of some companies to recommend. It's possible no one will hire you, but you'll never know if you don't keep trying.franktaylor and AfterShock Thank this. -

As far as the op is concerned...you'd be better of anywhere but Werner.

My 17 year old son has Asperger's and wanted to be a pilot in the Air Force but they won't take him because of it. He will be attending college next year using his strengths in math and science to become a mathematics teacher or professor instead. Not his first choice but his options are limited by the Asperger's.
franktaylor, AfterShock and irishwarrior Thank this. -
