I am pretty sure that they all do They use the same software, the difference between the models is just the bells and whistles. They aren't as fancy as the Co-Pilot; it doesn't show Haz Met or explosive routes, but it will keep you on truck routes. It makes a great tool to use with the atlas, but it talks to you and automatically reroutes if you miss a turn.

This sucks more than anything that has sucked before.

Well, not really...I haven't spent the $895 on the ProMiles XF or $299 on the CoPilot...so, I am only out the $50 I just spent on a replacement GPS antenna for my laptop. -
They have settings for truck, car , bus, motorcyle...Also, truckstops. I still double check the routes since it will still send you down a street with a low clearance and places you shouldnt be...but overall it works great.

CoPilot Truck is NOT compatible with 64bit Vista systems. New release should be out in the beginning of '08.

Just so you know where it is gently pry the cover off (the silver trim where it says garmin) under that is a reset button. Sooner or later you will need it.

This is one of the most frustrating threads I have ever read, not at the fault of the posters, maybe just because its an irritating issue.
I am trying to find a GPS navigating system for my husband and I have no idea what to use! It seems that there isn't a hands down best tool for this purpose - am I correct? -
Nothing is perfect, but the agreement seems to be that the laptop based ones are the best, and the most expensive. That wasn't an option for us, so I went with the second best choice IMO, a Garmin. The Garmins have a setting for truck routes. It might not be perfect, and it doesn't route haz met, but it is a great tool in the $200-$300 range.
