I never minded it much until I got hard contacts many years ago. Couldn't wear them -- the light drove me nuts. The eye doc said I have a "blonde" retina... not much pigment... and the hard lenses intensify the light into the eye. I can, however, wear contacts now that they have soft lenses.
I rarely have to wear sunglasses, tho. I think the only time I really need them is when the sun comes up after a snowstorm and the rays reflect off the snow-covered landscape. That's bright!![]()

I have Green eyes and find them to be a little sensitive to the sun.
But I think it's me personally. I only want the SUN on my TERMS! lol

Shandera, I have very blue eyes and can't leave the house without sunglasses. Every vehicle has at least one pair of "emergency" shades stashed somewhere just in case I forget the regular pair. Of course many years of sanding drywall did not help either! As for mornings, I only get up because I have to. Much rather be up at night. It just feels better, no matter how tired I am, once the sun goes down, I'm ready to go! If it wasn't for the blue eyes I'd think maybe I was part vampire!lol Definetly a night owl hear!

I feel good sleeping during the day, but about 6pm my eyes are like an "owl"...wide open"and looking....I feel good and ready to drive....

I would rather drive at night unless the weather is bad. I drive when I have to and load at night as a rule when hauling chickens, they load turkeys during the day and you just move the truck for that.
I like movies but can't stay awake to watch them unless I am well rested. I can sleep in the truck most mornings, but where I live, if you don't sleep at night, you get awakened often
