You can make a special request for time off during the week if you need it but usually your time will be weekends. Maverick is pretty good at not painting a false picture, read JimtheHuts thread "Heading to Little Rock" its full of very good info for new drivers.

And yes if you let them know at least a week in advance they usually have no problem getting you home for dr appts barring something out if their control.

We have some heavy haul. Those guys are typically gone a few weeks at a time.

I usually get to stay a night at home during the week if the load allows, ie. Appt., Drive hours allow, etc. But this happens about once every couple of months.

U will not get home every weekend. Expect to get hung out a time or two every 6-8 weeks.

Now the money part. Ur first three months expect to clear 550-750 a week, next 3 months expect 600-800, after 6 expect 800-950 sometimes 1000+. Granted u choose per diem AND no benefits. I go thru my wifes employer. If u need benefits for u and ur family, that number will come down...

That still is more then I'm making now! And if I'm home every weekend except for once every couple months, I think I can live with that! Sounds like a great company!

If u live in the Tenn, Kentucky, West Virginia states u will be home just about every week. If ur state borders water, forget it... Ur lookin at least 8 weekends a year. Nevertheless, Maverick is one of the best for sure....

We have many drivers who live in states bordering water than get home on weekends. It just depends on work ethic and what freight area you are in. Typically Mav wont place someone in US division if they feel they cant get you home weekends.
