I didn't read all the replies but if you are planning on working for Carolina Cargo be prepared to be severely disappointed. What they pay is substandard. Don't undersell yourself. Other than the time and effort it would take, you lose nothing by filling out other applications and talking to other companies. Up front, tell them you have a felony, how old it is, and what it was for. You lose nothing and you may gain yourself a great position somewhere else. When I worked for them back in 2000 they paid me .11cpm and that was because I was the lead driver on the truck. I was new to the industry and naieve. Do some research. You will thank yourself for it later.

At Carolina Cargo you now need 2 years experience plus 10 years on all criminal charges because of insurance claims been to high
-
im just. wondering if there going to grandfather us in or lay us off with a felony. Jason
-
I think we grandfathered in that's what it sounds like
-
I think who ever defending .10 cpm they are agent of capitalist shame on you
-
But really, who in the right mind with 2 years OTR experience and no criminal record for over 10 years will work for .10 a mile.. most of us come to carolina cargo just to get 6 months to a year experience to find something better.
-
... That can't be right, $0.10 CPM?

man ive been waiting to find a site where i can open up about carolina cargo. as a former driver for them 3 times ina row i got some fraustration to let out about these people. to those of you who are actually stickin up for carolina cargo then you dont have a lcue what its like to work for these people. first lets talk about the time they want you there for work. they tell you 9am in the morning. and u get there at 9am in the morning...you dont find out who your partner is until dispatch have all gone to lunch and when they get back then u know. and by the time you find out where u are going...both of you are too #### tired to drive cuz u been waiting for so long. and then u gotta wait on the truck your driving to get maintenced on and it'll take them mechanics a very long time to get to your truck and even if they get to your truck i can pretty much predict that after we drop our load off in cali somewhere probably sacramento or something...that on the way back with a produce the #### truck will break down on you somewhere.
-
and then you message dispatch and tell em and its takes them forever to get back to you and they dont even answer your question that you asked and then you end up askin again and u gotta wait 2 more hours for them to respond back....
