Well, if the XF95 cab proved roomy and comfy, well built, why change something that's proven?

The original concept on the T2000, which is the same thing in the T660 is a pile of fiberglass and plastic crap! The T600 "anteater" is the old clasic narow aluminum cab that's on the W900. The only difference between all this models is the hood design.

The MAN TGX did a good job with the first facelift from the TGA model, but added more flat black plastic under the windshield with the second facelift. Not a big fan!

MB Actros MP4 is a very good job of upgrading the boring old Actros look, all though it took a little time to get used to some futuristic articles of that design.

International.......well, I never been a fan, actually I hate the crappy things. They should've stuck with building farm equipment!

New Scania out next year supposedly, it'll just be a cab I suspect , they've already changed the chassis and drive line, they said they will never bring out a whole new truck again after the disastrous release of the 4 series, for our american friends scanias 4 series was launched in '96, it had alot of teething problems, it took them nearly 2 years sort everything out, it cost them a fortune in warranty claims so I agree with westbound that you should leave a new model for a while to see how it turns out

actually they already almost never bring everything new

just remember that series 2had chassis of older models until mid of its production , than they put new differential and gearboxes and updated engines, 3series was based on very similar chassis and driveline from 2series on beggining after new gearboxes new differential and new engines

4series had also older chassis from9/1995 until 6/1996.....

Oh, I know about your experience with paccar!

But, keep in mind that all we have here is the kind of service paccar offered you and scared the living lights out of you. So in my case, there's no lose of anything by owning a DAF. Maybe a little boost in product quality since, I'm sure, the Dutch are better at, then what we get here in pete's and kw's.

Well, the R series werent too bad, all though it looks kinda sily with that big bubble top hanging over the windshield. The longline looked good cause the extra length of the cab compensated the "bubble top".

PS: I hope that they're not gonna do what Volvo did with this new "fugly"

the bubble isn't as bad in real life, what doesn't come across well in pics is how the windscreen curves right out, it's not far out past the glass! Besides it provides good stowage inside with big lockers overhead, DAF is the same only with a flat windscreen the effect doesn't come across in pictures

I never had the pleasure, but I'm sure! Any improvement in ride compared with what we have here would be desirable!
