    Hey everyone,

I have been lurking around the forum for a while now, and have been trying to absorb as much info as possible. I currently live in Richmond VA and I will be graduating truck school at the end of the month. I would love to land a local driving job because my wife will be giving birth to our first child around the same time I will be graduating school but finding a local company that is a) hiring and b) will hire a new grad is a problem.

All that being said, I went to another local company to turn in an app today and after the transportation manager told me that I needed 1 yr experience, he recommended CCC out of west point va as a good place to start and get some exp. I called them up and the recruiter I talked to actually was probably the nicest one I have spoken to yet by far. I have called all of the other new hire meat grinder companies and they all seem like they could care less about anything you ask them.

So anyway, the woman from CCC told me that they have an opening with CT (coastal transport?) out of west point va and that I would be out 5 days and home weekends doing regional flatbed work. I have my class B CDL already with hazmat and tanker, and I was hoping to get back into that but I would take some flatbed training and experience as another notch in the belt.

Does anyone here have any recent info on CCC/CT? Most of the threads I have found seem to be from the 2007-2009 range. Also if anyone has any info on the west point terminal that would be helpful too. I would love to get into one of the local budweiser gigs I guess they have out there, but it must be the senior guys that get those.

    Thanks!
