Jeff, I'm in Vancouver right now. Glad to here that you got started. I'm getting back on the road tomorrow, but I had a delivery in Portland on Monday and asked for Tuesday off because my fiance' had an ultrasound. I guess I'll see your truck there when I go in tomorrow morning. You'll have to let me know your truck number. Talk to you later.

Hey guys! Sorry for the delay. Today is the first day I've had both time and internet access since class ended!
I received my truck assignment on Friday night but the previous occupant didn't get all of her stuff removed until Saturday and then it had to spend a little time in the shop getting an air leak in the suspension located and fixed.
I left out of Missoula Saturday night and delivered in Milpitas CA on Tuesday morning. Tuesday afternoon I was supposed to pick up a loaded trailer in a drop yard in San Jose but there was some sort of mixup and the trailer never showed up. I ended up sitting until Wednesday morning when I loaded used batteries in Hayward and brought them down to the L.A. area. I can't deliver those until tomorrow though.
The layover didn't work out too bad for me though as I ended up with a reset out of the deal and a load of tires out of Santa Fe Springs to
Troy NC. 2600 miles isn't a bad deal for the third load of my career! I won't expect that all the time though. They're doing me a favor by getting me back east so I can work my way home and get my truck set up with my gear and get it cleaned up really good.
Anyway I look forward to reading about the adventures from the new class next week and I'll chime in whenever I get the chance. You guys be safe.

Sal fly's in today and someone else, forget name. So the next class is on the way and it should be one interesting class with the colder weather.

My last few weeks have been wide open. Very little sitting, and when I did, it was a matter of needing to get a reset. Dispatch and planners seem to be getting things tweaked for the new changes within dispatch. So far it appears to be running smootly. A couple of hic ups here and there. But, nothing that causes me any concern.
Good luck to you guys -
Yep..... flight leaves at 12:22..... and off to Sunny Missoula.
Can't wait to get this show on the road. If my Lap top works I'll
post how things are going from time to time.
Hope everyone had a good Turkey Day yesterday.
See Ya Sal

Headed out this morning from Vancouver and ran an empty trailer up to Kent where I was to do a drop/hook with a trailer bound for Denver. Well the trailer wasn't in the terminal. Turns out that no one picked it up from the customer. So, after about an hour of looking for the customer I found it and finally got on the road. Sitting in Eastern Oregon at a Pilot TS. Got my computer here finally and the Cingular AT&T air card is working nicely.
Glad to see that you are heading east finally Jon! Hope you get home soon.
