I have a small cobra 25 and a antenna bracket I made with an extra ground strap and a 5 ft francis and 18 ft coax that I use when I slip seat. it mainly collects dust now days though since I am not switching trucks. I was going to get the smaller 510 radio but I had the 25 and did not feel like spending money on a different radio just for slip seating. I already had the cobra 25 from years ago.

It works well enough, SWR does not get above 2:1 no matter what truck I get into with it. Just have to make sure the antenna bracket is grounded which is tough to do with alot of trucks these days with the plastic coating on the mirror braces which is why I have the extra ground strapping for the bracket.
