yeah it does steve thank you very much. i figure if i figure out all these tricks i might stand a chance at a leas someday. that seems like a pretty cool option about the fueling and it not coming off until your trip does.
Good night from...

it aint that hard to lease...SWIFT holds your hand alot totally ...they really do everything for u...so u can see and track what u do....everything....they do make it easy...but you have to make decisions...on how u run...where...know the system...learn about fueling...thats your best hope to make more money....fueling...like mystic said...fuel in illinois...always cheap fuel there and high taxes...especially mom and pop truck stops...and terminals can be good option as well...and your fuel mileage is soooooo...important ..so important...do not go 65 or higher!!! or go ahead ...waste your money...dont matter to me...lol...know your terrain and weight too...but i take stuff up in the northwest just to escape the heat...and see beautiful country....but boy u pay for it! And i dont do northwest in winter...just aint doing it..lol...chaining...cold...mountains...i leave that up to the local/regional guys....they used to the weather...and tires..very important...have to take care and get as long a life out of them as possible....there expensive!...being company driver for at least a year..to learn the system and terminals...is important...u just got to pay attention....know things, and make good decisions to operate successfully...it aint hard...its scary,lol...but not really that hard..coz u responsible for it all now..all...goodnight from...mira loma ca...going on a little trip overseas...see a beautiful girl....yeah! fun for me...A21CAV, inkeper, Moosetek13 and 1 other person Thank this.

Here in the city of lost wages. I was sent a pplan, and it just made no sense, and I was not going to do it. My final pay after the delivery, I would have made about $3.00. They wanted me to reposition my trailer down to Mira Loma, where they are also short of fr8, and no back up plan. They are short the same amount that they are short here. Talked to my DM, and he told me, good decision. From here a better chance of something decent, down there, a good chance of another short load. If going to sit, rather sit here than Mira Loma

La Grande OR... Showed up to my first stop at a Sears Hometown and of corse they were 45 mins late unloading me.

45 minutes?
Count yourself lucky.
I got here right on time, but waited 3 hours for the dock to unload this trailer of potatoes.
I had to wait in line for 2 other trucks.
Must be first come first served here, instead of by appt time.
Topeka, KS.
Have a load picking up tomorrow at 1600, a live load.
Less than 500 miles that doesn't deliver until 0700 on the 10th.
No early pick up, or delivery.
And my DM can't understand why I am only bronze - with these types of loads week in and week out. -
I leased a used truck so there is a 30 day warranty from IEL but all the work must be done at Swift shops.

Raphine, VA with my load of bicycles due to drop in an hour. This load is #22,676 and I pulled it across the dragonback Appalachians without having to spend too much time creeping up steep hills. Having some extra speed available makes an enormous difference keeping momentum most of the way up. I'm at 7.5mpg with 38 miles to delivery so now I know mid-weight loads in mountains can make money.
I got a pplan for #42k of paper going to Dallas that I was going to decline. I decided to accept it because I want to see what the truck can do heavy and it gets me bck to Texas. Anybody know how the Lancaster shop is? I have to get this clutch problem fixed and if I get stuck there I have family and a few galpals to vist.

Frank, there are a few good ones in the shop at Lancaster. Lino is the best and Big John is good too. They do try hard to get it right there, it's getting past the BS that is hard.

thanks for the info man. thats one thing i really like is what you said about the fact that when u lease you can say no im not going to the northwest when its snowing out. and surprisingly even being company driver i still watch my fuel mileage and im actually averaging around 7-8 right now in a pro star. i feel for ya in mira loma i personally think thats the worst terminal we have
-
i would have that thing in the shop every chance i got within that first 30 days. ive had my pro star comp ride in the shop twice now and it still hasnt been fixed. gauranteed ill be goin down the road one night and the headlights will just quit. seems like every other electrical thing has gone wrong with it.
