Told the shop about an air leak once and it was much worse when I left the shop. Trying to remember what the problem was, but it was something very simple and they should had caught it.

Emu is a great guy and very helpful (for a night dispatch) lol! Hopefully it catches on as most of the others would not have taken the time. I would have got the famous "use your fuel list" answer followed by a click noise......... thanks again Sir!

Got to DFW 56hrs before delivery. Sat on it for 26 at the flying hook then was repowered to Denver. So far, averaging around 2500 miles per week on grad fleet. Its all coming on shorter runs of 800 miles or so, with a couple of 1400 mile multinstops thrown in there, but no complaints so far.

APU went down yesterday however... have to go to a TK to get it fixed. Hope the truck starts in the AM.

    Stories from the office...
Last night there was a 'major' accident. Any accident where someone goes to the hospital is considered major. In this case, the person in the auto went for minor injuries. We lost some paint on a trailer.
However, driver refused drug/alcohol test. Was painting the phones with safety because truck was then towed to safe place and he was left to fend for himself.
Couldn't understand (even tho it was explained by police and safety) that you can't refuse a test or it's considered a positive result.
Wonder where he was when all that was explained.

Once again, I just dont understand people... I guess that if he refused he had probably been drinking anyway and deserves to lose hos job.

Our terminal manager showed me some pics yesterday of one of our Kansas City trucks that was in an accident last week. The truck in front of him made a quick lane chance to avoid a car that was stopped. Our driver supposedly couldnt do anything but hit the car demolishing the car and the Peterbilt that he was driving. The car that was above the cab of the truck came off the truck and it was demolished as well. To make it worse for our driver, he only had one strap on the car instead of four!

Refused because he did not think he could pass anyway... Still say Steven's needs to vet applicants better. Well maybe not.
After the driver I had to ride with for a day to verify my skills at gauging and temping the oil, who has lots of knowledge about the oil field, but nothing about paperwork or log books, it is what we deal with. We are on electronic logs, same QC as steven's uses, but it is so much easier to use. Better programming, we don't have to reenter information on each circle of service, it transfers over.
No daily check calls, all automated. Now if they would just get the printers to work reliably so that we can stop with the paper bill of lading.
