My favorite car was a '94 T-Bird . It was stolen while I was out of town . It was recovered but had been driven through a deep puddle and the engine waterlocked so they wrote it off as totaled .
A few years earlier I had hit a deer and had over $3500 damage to the right front but I was still driving it . Before it got fixed I was rear ended by an F-350 and had over. $3,000 damage to the rear and was still driving it .

Oh, well I was thinking of a vehicle that he owned outright because when I started I drove real hard and when I decided to buy a vehicle paid cash for it. I'm pretty sure, however, that insurance companies don't really care about you they care about the vehicle so as long as you maintain coverage on the vehicle itself you should be alright.

i know Progressive offers a pay as you drive deal... you plug a little thing into your car..and you only pay for what you drive...we had it a few years back in Louisiana...

wow..i too had a '94 t-bird, bought it brand new on April Fool's Day in fact.>!!

it was that "teal blue" color, and i loved it, up until about 35,000 miles and the transmission over-drive gear mucked up, costing me about $1,700 for an over haul..

i traded it in at about 37,000 miles, because i got a letter from Ford stating that they would warranty the head gaskets(V-6) for 6 years (from date of purchase), but i had already gone slightly PAST that time frame, and my luck being what it was, well, i got another new car. this was in the summer of 2000.

Why don't you start a poll inquiring mind?

Engine set does not have to be severe enough so that it is seized. Frost can form in the oil pan, gasoline varnish builds in the injectors. Engines that are old can have valve springs not return to their shape in as little as fifteen days.

By all means, go get yourself a wasting asset that you will utilize 8% of your waking hours at most if you are OTR and yet have it consume 12% or more of your weekly net income.

    why..???

    B...S....

there would have to be a deep freeze, like up in Alaska to do that..!! further, there would have had to been A LOT of moisture to do what you say...i'll bank my former occupation of 17 years an an ASE mechanic on that..!!!

AS FOR THE VARNISH..?? it can build up FROM DAY ONE, when you drive the car off the dealer lot, not by just sitting.>!!! the gas would have to "evaporate" IN THE injectors for varnish to form, and if they are good injectors, they WILL HOLD the fuel inside, and NOT drip

    B...S....
    they ALL return...

i know i will, want to be able to get in, drive off, and not be bothered carrying my luggage all over the place hoping that a rental car will be available, or a family member will be available when i get in at 2 in the morning..!!!!
