    Let me this right:
Werner turned down a person who is comfortable being on his own for an OTR job where you spend most off the time..................being on your own in the cab.:biggrin_25521:

If you really want to drive try and team up with someone who understands your condition. Maybe later after you become accustomed to the stresses of being on the road you will be better prepared to go it on your own. You will know your reactions to the rigors of trucking and be better prepared to take the appropriate action to keep yourself out of trouble and so you dont hurt someone, damage equipetc. Werner may have done you a favor. Your performance in trucking is well documented ie your DAC, CSA2010 etc. Good luck to you.

I was looking for something else and spotted this. 1st off, Werner lost out big time. I have 4 grown children, 2 of them incredibly smart and 1 with Asperger Syndrome. He works in an office by himself as an IT tech.
I know a few with this syndrome and would see why truck driving would be up your ally. People with this tend to like routines and things in their places. Each one is a bit different but given a chance are loyal friends and remember all the little details someone else might forget on the road and tend to be very observant. Yes, some are a bit immature for their age, reason is because of their IQ. They get along better with much older people than themselves because they observe everything, but are often are misunderstood. I wish you were out on the west coast Remousamavi. Somehow I would think that it would be discrimination of sorts but would have to check into to it and talk to my son later today.
Other trucking firms that take on new drivers are, Knight, Sheneider,Covenate Transport, and Con'way Freight.
Hope this helps. I'll check back on here. :biggrin_25525:

Not in the trucking industry. Air plane pilots. Charter bus drivers.
Certain medical conditions and/or medications can and do disqualify people every day from these industries.

I read what'cha wrote, --- read it again, went back and re-read it two more times to be sure I wasn't dreamin'. I'm extremely flattered and somewhat relieved to know that at least SOMEone manages to read what I write the way I wrote it, --- without readin' something betwixt the lines that isn't there, or just missin' the point altogether and then admonish me for bein' too critical and discouraging, --- while they refuse to acknowledge the possibility that they've read it wrong.

I'm curious Bumpy, how does what I write come across to you?
    Hmmmmmm ------
Those are my intended goals when I hunt & peck the words that appear on the screen.
That's not the hard part though.
    :biggrin_25512:
Tying it all together in a way that's entertaining, informative, educational, and easier to remember is where it gets tricky. I'm aware that some folks don't enjoy readin' as much as I do. When I see a rather lengthy post I hear that voice in my head sayin' "Oh Boy! That's a lot to read", --- and I'm anxious to get started. But when some folks see the same long post, their head-voice probably moans, "Aw Nutz ! That's too much to read", and they're anxious to ignore that post completely, or just skim over the text and think nobody will be able to tell that they slacked off in their duty to self to learn. And they almost never answer any questions that I ask 'em.

Some folks choose to continue being wrong
Rather than to admit they aren't right.

    ..................... snip .....................

Hold on thar, ---- I wanna be sure I provide all the pondering that your admission deserves.
    Let's see now, .....................
You become "BUMmed out", and your handle is BUMpy.
    Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm --- coincidence?
    "Beautiful"? :smt017
    "Downtown Yermo"? :confused4:
Obviously beauty is in the eye of the (blind) beholder. :glasses8:
I don't care who y'all are, --- that right thar is seriously funny.
    Nope! :biggrin_25512:
Not yet anyway, --- but it's on the way. Proof positive that if y'all got it,
Big trucks brought it to ya.
But it's easy to understand why one would think the carnival has already arrived. You see, as usual, traditionally, the first attraction to arrive on scene is the Freak Show. Interestingly enough, attendance seems to be growing at a rapid pace, --- proving PT's theory that there's one born every minute.
    By golly, .... that's a whoppin' 1,440 per day and 525,600 a year.
I'd say the carnival business is lookin' up.
    :smt045

I didn't want to get a hangover, :smt030:drunken: but I got one anyway. Friends tell me I oughta give up adults beverages. Should I tell 'em it'd be much easier to give up adult friends? :laughing-guffaw:

Whoa...:biggrin_2556: I just read that after an 18 hour day..Yeah,yeah-I know what the rules are-but reality is of course one bad mutha.:biggrin_25519: Give me a few days and a reply will be forthcoming,or is that forthwith? I feel honored that you read what I wrote after such a long work day. Would you believe it took me that long just to write what you read?
The only reason rules exist is to give us something to break, --- and to generate income.
That always stumped me too, --- so I just use ASAP. Whatever and whenever, take your time amigo. I'll pass the time pacing the floor, .... waiting.
The gooberment claims it's broke, --- so it ain't likely to foot the bill. However, there's a possibility the taxpayers could be tapped for your tuition. Depends on what you major in. But if you can somehow convince the right people that you're in this country illegally with alien status, the necessary cash would be forthcoming within a fortnight.
    Who says crime doesn't pay?
