I just had a few D rings replaced and some holes patched at T.R.S. in Fargo. They forgot to replace one ring and missed a few holes as well as burned a few spots next to the patches they put on. They got them back to re-do them and they didn't like it because they had to pay to have them shipped back to me.

Guess they should have done the job correctly, the first time.

Exactly what I was thinking. Based on what they charged there was no excuse for them not being done correctly.

I've got some tarps that they made that are old, they have held up very well. I will probably buy from them when its time to get some new ones.

I carry 24x26 18oz from Harps Tarps in Stone Mountain, GA. One 16x26, one 16x20 in vinyl. I also carry from Peaks Tarps, one 24x26, one 12x12 smoke, and one 11x8 utility all in Kordura material.

The vinyl is repaired with cement or heat gun depending on location. The Kordura (sp?) tarps are harder to repair but I found a product called "seamgrip" that is the best so far for gluing the fabric. When gluing the Kordura tarps you have to let them sit overnight with weight on the repaired area to obtain best results. The vinyl tarps can be put up much faster if you dust the glued area with corn starch or talcum powder.

Typically, the amount of repairs one will do on a tarp is inversely proportional to the amount of time spent prepping whatever it is you are tarping. You spend a lot of time padding and protecting on corners, preventing tarp movement or billowing, you'll have less holes.
