i had 5 trucks from 1997-2001, all cats, they were completely worthless, no fuel economy, power wasn't all that great & expensive to maintain. from 02 to current, i have cummins' & detroits, inexpensive to maintain, very good fuel economy & more than enough power for what we're doing (hopper bottoms, reefers, flats).

We are excited to announce that that TMC has taken delivery of the first Peterbilt Model 579 and placed an order for an additional 1,500 units, citing the product's fuel efficiency design characteristics and early driver feedback upon reviewing comfort and amenities inherent in the cab and sleeper interior.
Jason Webb and Rod Simon from TMC Transportation and representatives from Allstate Peterbilt were in attendance at the Peterbilt headquarters in Denton, Texas to commemorate the historic occasion. -
what i cant figure, is why they wouldnt design it with bunk windows. Those little vents are a joke when sitting. Im real curious as to what options they ordered.

Probably loaded to the gills knowing H.A. Oh and the whole motor thing? I have a Cummins now and hate it. Biggest paperweight ever, wish I had my kw with the cat back.

Idk how that cummins is programmed but every cummins I had was a beast. Would pull a bridge out of the water. This DD15 I got now wouldn't pull a greasy string out of a hogs #####

Ya I here ya goog thing about detroits were dependability. That cat though man o man. 790 horse to the wheels. Had to watch the pirometer but hauling coal we'd gross 120000 lbs going across 68 in Maryland 70 miles per hr over the mts.

What's tmc rider and pet policy's my wife wants to ride with me all the time (no kids just a puppy)

Wife is ok to go as long as you get in touch with logs and get insurance for her to ride with you. NO PETS.

I just graduated from Drive Train of Jackson Tennessee. It is a great school and i strongly recommend it to anybody looking to get started or even take a refresher. I am leaning towards TMC but their website tells me one thing and the recruiter tells me another. Im just curious on how they hold up on there promises. I dont wanna be stuck w a bad company. Should i pursue other companies or will TMC be a good place????
