Melatonin...get it in the vitamin section. I usually take 2 and am out in 20 minutes or so. No hangover of any kind.

I can drink coffee and go to bed. My Dad used to say, the only way coffee would keep him awake, is if he knew there was more in the pot.
:mshocked:I also occassionally take tylenol PM or Excedrin PM.

With the 'Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations' pocketbook being one the best for that. :)

any over the counter med is not narcotic YOU WILL NOT FAIL a drug test, they are doing a panel of 5 looking fornarcotics and streets drugs,

the active ingredient in tylenol pm is a antihistamine similar to benadryl

I bought some of that a while back, but I never tried it. I wonder if that would have helped me when I was on the night shift. For that I almost needed some of those Trazodone coma pills.

I too am going on the night shift next week. I'm more of a night person anyway, but take my advise...why not, I'm not using it...and try the Melatonin.

Sometimes when my body clock is REALLY fighting with me...I use Melatonin.

This stuff works with your body to tell it it's sleepy naturally. I'm not a nutrition type by any means, but this stuff works.

My wife gets upset at me for being able to sleep almost anytime and anywhere. Goes back to my time in the Navy I guess. If you had 30 minutes or an hour...and the "Mid Watch" to follow...you got a nap. I've never forgotten how.

Benadryl works for me , only problem is it might constipate you if taken in large doses . One pill works for me.

Alteril. Contains Melatonin, also the thing that causes food coma in thanksgiving turkey, and something else. Three active ingredients to induce sleep. Over the counter, no problem with drug screens.
