I was wondering what the typical fuse rating or max amperage rating of the D/C post's on the dash, that are usually used for cb's?
I have not been assigned my truck yet or I would be able to find out easily. I need this info before I get my tractor for a purchase I will be making... any help is appreciated. Thanks

Think a 7.5 amp fuse is the correct one , but check the info in cb/uhfGetZapt Thanks this.

Yeah I was looking for the total amps available at the post's?.. not for cb...just that most hook their cb's up there..I just never looked for that fuse at the fuse block to know the total available.

A radio should not pull more than 2 amps. Alot of the radios that have the cig lighter adapter will have a fuse in them rated at only .5 amp. You want a fast blow as a slow blow may burn something that will be costly further down the road.
