Include copies with any new applications you fill out. The company may not want to spend their money on something you may have already provided.

you are pretty much screwed. you should have known better that your license IS YOUR JOB.

no driving school for you either as you have that CDL

you can keep applying for jobs, but DO NOT LIE about this ticket, because when they find out, and they will you will be fired for falsifying an application, then TRY finding work..

find a way to GET THE MONEY and pay for a lawyer. try and have him reduce the fine to maybe a seat belt fine or some other "petty" moving vehicle violation.

maybe next time, you will realize that your future DEPENDS on your driving YOUR personal vehicle as if it WERE a CDL vehicle..???

i do not see you getting another job for a long, long time, as if this ticket sticks, it'll be too new, and that you have proven that you are a speed demon.

Don't know how it works in your state but when I lived in NM I got stopped for 65 in a 45 construction zone. It was Sunday, nobody was working, 65 was the limit on either side but that didn't stop the NM State Police from watching it. I went before the judge who happened to be visiting from Hobbs, NM. Since he dealt with a lot of CDL holders (oil field drivers, bullracks, etc), he cut me some slack and defferred the citation for 1 year and if I kept my nose clean, the citation would automatically dismiss. I did and it did. All I paid was court costs.

Hey Wooly Rhino-How are you?Where do you get your percentages at?My informal study(me-three times in many years)cops showing up 100%.I very rarely agreed with her, though Dr Laura would say(or something close to it)if it happens 2 % of the time, when it happens to you it's 100%.Take care.Brian

You don't need a lawyer for a speeding ticket. Just go to court and ask them to drop it down to a non moving violation, as your family's financial well being is at stake. Tell them you are fine with paying the higher fine to have done this way. All they really want is your money in the first place. Go in there with a good attitutude and be very respectfull.

Well I talked with the DA yesterday and he said it would be no problem to make it a 75 in a 65 6 months probation for $200. He said he would even spread the fine out over payments. I just need to show up to court 15 minutes early as I was planning anyways and talk to him. He said he should be able to put me in front of the judge right away also. No lawyer needed! I asked about it being changed to a none mover and he said because I was driving my personal car and not a truck that would be to hard to do and way more expensive $750-1000 range?! They change the mover into a broken part on the truck. So that's how it goes in the State of Illinois. Thanks for all the information everyone!!! Have a great weekend! :biggrin_25520:
