How hard is it to get on with Roehl? I want to take their training and Midwest routes. I've filled out an app and they called me back and sent me a form for tuition financing.

I am in the same boat. 50, same job for 15+ years and just extremely bored. I also have the money for CDL school and from everything I have rad here, that's absolutely the way to go. Forget about O/O for the foreseeable future. I am doing a lot of research here to see if the trucking life is for me. And, make no mistake, it's a lifestyle not a career. Keep us posted on what you decide.

    Best of luck,
    Pete

Its not hard, just fill out an app and get pre hired before you even go to school. A guy in my class was 64 and he was ready for a change.

Central denied me because of my medication, AFTER I got releases and letters from my DR saying I wasnt on that medication anymore and I hadnt taken it for 30 days. Kinda weird they wouldnt accept me.

Some places want you off red flag meds for 90 days. CRE wanted that when I had gotten off a no go med so they gave me a 90 day medical card to make sure I didn't need the meds or have any reactions from being off of it. Then I got my 1 year card a couple months ago. Now I left them and am going to Roehl and will have to do my 3rd physical this year lol.

it is hard for me to get on with roehl. i live in the oklahom city area and every time i check there website to see if they are hiring in this area, it always says there not. ihave been checking it for the past month or so now. i am tryi g to get some extera driving time so i can drive local or reginal and i would rather go with good company like roehl. looks like i might be stuck going with a lesser company like crst or some other lesser company out of okc.

Have you call the recruitment office? They can always tell you more information then that website can. They might even tell you that getting you home would be a challenge but if your willing to work with them on hometime, then they might work something out with you.

Yes, I have called roehl and they looked up my area and they said the same thing which they were not hiring in the OKC area. But I will try it again and see if I might be able to negociate something with them. I do thank you Lantern for suggestion. Might be some hope in this round. Thanks and happy safe driving to.
