You do not need it in writing. After training and you go on a dedicated Wal-mart account, it will be like Innkeeper said. All paid the same, plus the stop pay. With 2000 miles and the avg stops per week, you might be looking at around $800-$900/wk gross. As far as home time, if you are very close to the terminal, there is a very good chance that this will happen.

I have seen it happen where a driver finishes training and falls right into a dedicated account. If they need the drivers and you do good on your training then there is a very good chance that you can be placed there. I am a owner/op but I have been on a Wal-Mart account. That gross pay has alot to do with the stops that you make everyweek. As the new kid on the block, I am not sure if they will run the dog crap out of you just to see what you are made of, or take it easy at first and see how you do. I can tell you that Wal-Mart is a great gig, as long as it is being run correct. When I was on it, I was only running an avg 2600 miles per week and a 34 reset every weekend, and was still bringing home checks after all expenses, close to $1800. Again, if they need the drivers and you do well in your training, it could happen. Best of luck in your search.

thanks bro..... just got off the phone with my recruiter im going with swift should know monday my start date ..... the money right and home every 34 reset is a big plus !!!!

If its the Monroe GA I can tell ya they will run the #### out of you with 20 stops a week, I helped them out 1 week and made $1400.00 with almost 600 a night runs everynight I only made it back to DC 1 night but I was OTR.
But sad part is your a new driver you start at $.25 a mile they are lieing and if your on Walmarts fleet even after your 1 yr OTR when you get $.34 they only pay $.29 and $10 a stop and 1st stop does not count then you won't recieve the new milage bonus because your rank freezes and disappers.
Im currently help a DC out and make $1000 to $1200 a week but I refuse to join the fleet they can say we don't need you anymore and I'll be back OTR which is fine by me I made great money OTR but this keeps me close to home and I get home a few times a week and take restarts at home.
If you wanna start small and stay small paycheck wise then do it from what I here some drivers make nothing OTR and Walmart is the best place for them I made any where from $900 to $1400 OTR unless I took .
After 1 year you can do local and be home everynight just do OTR and then after a year move on if u wanna try to make more money or do OTR and call DC and try it out and join if you like it.sb677 Thanks this. -
thanks bro im going to take that DC that kind of money just starting out will be good for me ....i understand its all about paying my dues which im willing to do for awhile anyway.... and be home that offen i was not expecting ..... before getting my CDL i work at one of the local hospitals as a patient care tech ....... lol i can tell you i didnt make anywhere near even 800 bills a week .... so for the time being this would be a big step up.... i`ll be at decatur GA

Like I said earlier, you will be paid the negotiated rate paid to all of the dedicated drivers for Walmart plus the stop pay. When you are dedicated you are not considered OTR therefore you will do better than the 25 or 26 CPM. This sort of thing happens sometimes...when I started my friend went right to Home Depot Dedicated and started out at 34 while I went OTR and started at 26. If this is what you want to do, see if there is a mentor running on the account so you can do your training running the account and learn it all with a mentor. Running OTR and the qualcomm are a little different than on the Walmart account. You won't have to deal with Plus 1 and that is a good thing.
