Prime does'nt care as long as you have good hygiene.I use to drive for them and I have seen many drivers that did'nt dress for success but dam good drivers and thats more what Prime cares about.

Jeans and t-shirts are fine as long they ARE CLEAN. in good taste and not full of holes and tears. I had a student that the 1st thing we did was all of his laundry because it smelled. He also could not go into shipper or recievers with me because his clothes were too torn up. Part of the professionalism we take pride in is how we present ourselves to the customers and the general public. You WILL see some very bad examples, don't be one of them. I wear shorts most of time, Even with my chicken legs

I drove for Prime back in 2008, and jeans, shorts , basically any casual wear is okay. Recommend a jacket as they do haul a lot of refrigerated freight, and those warehouses are cold. You will be required to monitor load count at times. Pay attention to the suggested items to bring, and you will be fine. You bring too much and you may fine yourself sleeping with it. Remember, you are a guest on your trainers truck.

I really recommend polo shirts. Nearly as comfortable as a tee, but a big step up in presentation.

Guys (up to a 2X)... Macy's "Club Room" brand sells for $19.98. Decent quality; will generally last at least as long as it takes to put a good dribble stain down the front. :biggrin_2554: Catch them during one of their many sales, and you can find designer shirts for about that. If you need more than a 2XL, give King Size Direct (www.kingsizedirect.com) a try. Up to a 10X for $20 plus shipping.

this is just from my own suspicions but if you are going to be going in all parts of the lowewr 48 and parts of canada you need to dress for the weather.
I mean sure bring decent looking clothes, dont dress like a bum or ragamuffin. but dont need a suit and tie either. Decent jeans, workshirt (dickies brand [example]) ,gloves, decent boots (steel toe),something mnore in the line of comfort for driving long hours. warmer clothes for cooler climates, lighter clothing for warmer climates. ok but anyhoo as i said this is just from my unexperienced ideas.

During orientation I saw some ratty looking dressed people. None of them got a trainer on Friday.
I saw some OK looking people and they did get a trainer on Friday.
I dressed business casual all week, kept my mouth shut, waited my turn, and showed up on time and got a trainer Friday also. :)
