ok that said, i worked for swift for 8 months 8/10-4/11 6 months as a company driver, 2 months as an o/o and to be 100% honest i got ####y and thought i was on top of the world and nothing wrong could happen.... i messed up and did not put a lock on a loaded trailer. i am sure i do not need to say what happened next.
that will not happen again.
i have applied to well over 250 companies over the past year and a half since my termination. no one will touch me either because of being fired, not 1-3 years otr exp or both.
i made a mistake, i feel horriable about it but it is coming up on two years now, some one give me a shot please. working for these temp services and other low paying jobs i have dam near lost everything i have and am barely hanging on. the only company that offered me a shot was carolina cargo at .09 cpm.

Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.
Someone please give me a chance!!

Did you try all of the big carriers yet? Werner, C.R. England, Schneider, J.B. Hunt. The list goes on.

Go apply at Estes. They know how those Mickey mouse companies are. They are all quick sand. Those tid bit outfits do nothing but bring you down, screw up your family life, put a couple dollars in your pocket and still try to cheat you out of a nickle of the dime they give you. They could give a rats ### what you are doing now or what they screwed you out of as long as they have a room full of suckers waiting to get their drug tests back at orientation. Your better off driving 500 miles to our Memphis terminal than working for a cheesy "take truck home with you" company. Apply in Knoxville, Asheville, Chattanooga and Greenville TN. Old dominion and saia are great too. You might start out shoveling cchit for $19 an hour with paid holidays but in 3 years you will be making real money.

pm sent just a few minutes ago -
yes guys i have tried all the ones mentioned and MANY MANY MORE. i have also sent out many "mass apps" on sites such as layover.com and hammer lane jobs.com

Did you try TransAm? They are pretty easy on things on your record.
-
yes, they said no.....i am thinking that was 2-3 maybe 4 months ago. the biggest thing is "safety and security" depts are saying no in the larger companies, the smaller ones say it is because of there insurace rates.

Think outside the bun. Skip over these .30 a mile companies. Don't sell yourself short because of some thief took what he would have probably took either way. Lock or no lock
keepntruckin Thanks this.
