My husband worked for trojan Horse. The pay was short or none at all. Over weight loads being hauled with single axles. The drivers have to pay the tickets. Because the company won't 401 mandtory (unlawful). Money taken out of your check never put in 401k. Equiment falling apart wont do the upkeep. MY husband should of gotten his last pay check today. Never showed up for any of the drivers. Not unusual. So if you want to work for a company who doesn't pay, takes money out of your check and never put in your account . Won't pay over weight tickets, trucks falling apart. Then this one is for you! The company is owned by the Hicks family. Who also owned SLM,HHMT,MIDWEST.Diffrent names same family.

I knew the driver that got hurt a few months ago when i steer tire blew and i was told hicks dad said it was the drivers faught the tire couldnt have blown it was a new tire. Anyway the money is no good if they dont pay you and your dead. Right before i quit i had broke a rib on my own time and brian hicks called me every name you could think of.

If the company is taking money out of the check and not putting it into the 401k they are running afoul of several federal laws regarding this.
The company can not force you to take an overweight load. If you do and get a ticket most companies will not pay it or if they do they will take it out of your pay. This is quite common.
I'm not saying this is a good company or not as I have never heard of them, however, the problems you mention seem to be driver related in that the driver is not holding the company to account. -
Not the drivers FAULT!!!! If you don't take the load they leave you where ever your at. No matter where you are. The loads are over axle and over gross. When you do call the office your told YOUR JUST A DRIVER DON'T CALL HERE ANYMORE!!! The labor board is looking into Trojan AKA Hal Hick again. Now the post office is investgating Trojan. The IRS has sezied every bogus co they have set up and going to do it again. SLM went under and took 4yrs to gat back pay. Instesd of $9000.00 we got $2300.00. Shelly Miles who was CEO recieved $10000.00 Who was diddling who. These are not lies. This is the truth

Again: Hooking to an overweight load and putting it on the road is the responsibility of the driver and no-one else. Someone in an office can not force you to do this. If you do you are responsible for the fine unless the company says before-hand that they will pay any and all fines if caught. The result of being "left where ever you are" may be true but should happen only one time.

If this company is that bad what is your husband doing there? Seriously answer this please as I am curious as to who would drive for a company like this.

@Snowman. This is the oldest question on this board. Think of it like a woman who is beaten everyday by her boyfriend, he tells her she is worthless and nobody else will love her like he does.
These drivers and owners believe that all truck drivers are treated this way, they are afraid to leave because the grass is never greener on the other side.
Its an age old story. -
My husband left Trojan. We have been trying to get his last pay check for two weeks. They say they have mailed it . But as of yet no check. No answer from the co. Won,t answer the phone or his old supervisor cant be found. He<s with a better company now. I just wanted to warn the other drivers about Trojan.
snowman01 Thanks this. -
Get hold of the state labor board and file a complaint. That might get them moving.
