time for something different

hey everyone,

some of u guys know me and some dont for those who dont. I've been haulling trash for a living doing regional for the past 2 years. And well to be honest it's getting old the company i hauled for has treated me well and i can get home pretty much everyday if i want to but. I'm 24 and the north east is getting awfully tiny. Almost like a big goldfish stuck in a tiny fish bowl.

I've been thinking about this for a while and i've been offered a few jobs doing flatbed but never jumped on it for the simple fact I want a decent truck (no freight Shaka's and nothing governed under 70mph) One that stuck out was a small but growing company out of jefferson maine with a fleet of all peterbilt 379's ungoverned uncut and no gps/quallcom. when i first heard of them i didnt think much as i was fixin to start on with my current company KB Corp.

KB has treated me well with paychecks grossing well over 1300 a week average but the benifits were iffy and the health of the company is definitely in question. well a good friend of mine has hired on with the L.L.P. otherwise known as F.E. peaslee and confirmed they are growing (2008-present 35 trucks) all trucks 2000 -2007 model year peterbilt 379's impeccably maintained, ungoverned, uncut, no gps, no quallcomm, pay is good and they want you to run legal.

Well that sold me so i went up there and met with the operations manager and we had nice long conversation. then to my surprise the owner of the company came in and me and him had a one on one conversation for a good hour before he told me he would love for me to come onboard with them. So off i went did the pee test and monday i will give my 1 week notice over at kb and then i will be officially an OTR flatbedder. then run mostly down the eastern seaboard but they go all over country as for training they're gonna pair me up with my buddy who has done flatbedding pretty much his whole life and i'm pretty much gonna follow him around for a few weeks and go from there. i'm hoping to learn alot from you guys and out there on the road any tips and tricks are always appreciated and i'll keep updating this thread
