I never got a call back... Probably due to my lack of recent experience. I tried to get in touch with a regional manger but could never nail down any contact info. Was a long shot to begin with but I thought if I could just get in touch with a person Id be able to at least make a good case for being hired.. Guess Ill keep looking

I used to live there. Well Port Orange anyway. I almost moved back there a couple years ago for a job I had but it didn't work out. Did you try waiting at one of the Love's stops for a driver and talk to him or her and see if they could put you in touch with the regional manager? That's what another person did on here and it worked for him.

I did do that. I was told that because of no recent experience that they probably wouldnt even look at my app. I thought if I could get a face to face Id at least be able to explain the details in person. So I just left it at that and figured Id hope for a call. I called the number I found online and got two different names so I left messages but no call back. I drove flatbeds before all the new regulations went into effect. So my DAC would show no history at all even though I have quite a few years. I ran regionally for a small company out of Edgewater, Fl. Really no rules back then. No log books just ran hard and got paid 20% of the load. I know people hate all the regulations but basically if you stay legal those regs give you a well established work history and creates marketability when you apply for a job. So there is some upside to being so closely tracked I guess. Ive been off the map long enough that the system automatically considers me to have no driving history

jynxx should have a regional mgr, and that person will know who over sees florida region, that other newbie that just got on would have to know also, 310 or something and they were too fresh exp wise in my est. but whom am i to say...come on some one, step up,
PS: If you or I listened to the negatives about exp and so on,
where'd that leave any of us anyways?

Everyone began from the beginning and needed that one chance to be provided to prove yourself and gain experience. Myself and 310 were "newbs" when we got into hauling fuel. I can't speak for 310 but I can say that I haven't had a single incident while with Gemini and I believe I've done very well and perform to their expectations. I'm sure the reason Crackinwise hasn't heard anything back is because there may not be any openings on that team at this time. Different regional managers have different feelings about how much experience one should have for the position.

    Crackinwise PM me.
