Rates are soft everywhere for the most part. When TX is slow I would usually deadhead 300-400 miles to AR. or Ks or Amarillo for a meat load going west or midwest with a reefer. Way too many mexican-based trucks that are trying to come in and go back out of TX and do a great job of lowering rates both ways. Ca. is usually super busy in the spring and summer time but this year it has been unusually slower there too. TX can get busy between March and April when nursery season kicks in. I wouldnt hold out that long though, lol.

Your from Idaho and you're leaving Texas empty??? Why would you do that seeing that loads going to ND and MT are paying top dollar if you were pulling a flatbed. maybe it might be time to switch out wagons???
-
LOL top dollar huh? what do you consider top dollar? For refer?
-
.95cpm plus fuel surcharge.

You can tell this is an Oscar the KW joke......Achmed the Dead Terrorist is much funnier!!

$2.75-$3.25 mile going to Minot/Williston/Billings for a flatbed.
As for refer I have no clue.......
The problem with dry-bulk in Texas is that A&R and Transwood have it all locked up coming back out. -
you sure wont get it out of denver. there is directions to head that are a lot better then denver and wy. you will end up deadheading all the way home at that rate. here is an idea, dont try so hard to run out and straight back home. thats why they got you by the short hairs

I'm guessing he must haul direct from a plant to Texas from Idaho, because it should be the other way around. Loads going to his home area but none back to Texas.
