Headed east on SD14 and shutting it down on account of weather.

30 mph sustained with 40 mph gusts. Left front head wind.

Supposed to die down after 11 tonight.

geez..that's all the winds are supposed to be..??

what do you do when it "sprinkles"....

i cross over a bridge (well several every night, going north, then back south) if i were to stop for every "little wind" that goes over/under (crosswinds) those bridges, i might as well work as a chicken plucker....

and on my south bound trip..??

    i am empty..!!!

Is your trailer pumped full of helium? That's a normal every day wind out there.

    TRKRSHONEY and lonewolf4ad Thank this.

40 mph gUsting head, winds and only 90 miles to go by 8 am

Does not justify then excessive fuel cost.

    SHC Thanks this.

    can you justify being late..??

    you an o/o..???

    if so...

still no reason to stop running all because of a little breeze..

I have done this with empty doubles, but I did not like it. #### the Super Truckers, If I have to stop or slow down, it is my choice.

i never know when i am "peeing" till i see cars passing me, and they got thier wipers on..!!!

He must drive for a forgiving company. My company would know way know how let you stop bacause of the wind without fireing you once you get back to the terminal.Same with chaining.Only way they would let you get away with shuting down is if the roads are absolutely not passable.
